Welcome!

Cesis,the Pearl of Vidzeme, the residence of masters of Livonian Order in the Middle Ages, aswell as the cradle of the Latvian national flag, and one of the oldest towns of Latvia, was celebrating its 800^th anniversary in 2006.

The 800^th anniversary was a great event for us, residents and for every guest of Cesis.

Every summer for many years already, Cesis bringstogether the generations to celebrate Open - Air Opera Festival, Imanta dienas (the Imant’s Days) and the Medieval Knights Festival. The Town becomes even morebeautiful through festivals and we as well. I hope that the old Town will also become the home of your festivities too.
